Many people struggle with knowing who to believe – especially first time home buyers.

It’s not unusual for their Realtor® and Mortgage advisors to have vastly different opinions on the same issue. Plus, they both stand to earn a commission. Is it possible their motivation for earning a commission could interfere with the complete honesty you deserve?

It happens all the time. That’s why both are required to be licensed by the state. It’s just one way of trying to keep everyone honest, but it’s certainly not foolproof. What about the inexperienced licensee who chooses to “guess” at an answer for you rather than expose their lack of knowledge?

That’s why it’s so important to educate yourself before and during the home buying process. A good place to start are the many free government publications designed to protect home buyers. Some of those will be covered here in the future and links will be provided as well.
